180 workers at iDigital, the official distributor of Apple products in Israel, joined the Histadrut and unionized, aiming to secure better wages.
iDigital union said that “Every worker in our company knows how much revenue they produce for the company, and would like to see more of that manifested in their paychecks. The coronavirus has only strengthened our determination to unionize. We love our company and we believe that management will choose to cooperate and negotiate – in order to improve working conditions and strengthen iDigital."
The workers intend to secure a collective agreement, which will improve pay and working conditions. In a letter sent to the company’s management the workers invited CEO Ayelet Tzarfati to meet with them and begin the negotiation process as soon as possible.
iDigital was founded 12 years ago, and is the only company authorized to sell Apple products in Israel.
