Israelis facing the high cost of living may find some relief at the pumps starting this month. As of September 1, the Fuel and Gas Administration (part of the Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure) announced a decrease in the price of gasoline.

The maximum price per liter of unleaded 95 octane gasoline at a self-service gas station (including tax) is now 7.29 shekels ($7.27 per gallon), which is a 0.19 decrease from what it was previously.

Full service now costs up to 0.24 shekels per liter (tax included) (24 cents per gallon) in addition to the price of gas, which is 0.02 shekels per liter more than it was before.
