Women and girls at risk often do not find the ways to express what they are going through. Sometimes the problem lies in self-expression, sometimes a fear of family or society. At the Children and Youth Theater in Be'er Sheva, a special project called "Your Voice" was opened; a project aimed at these women and girls.

The project includes weekly meetings with girls from the Adi Center, which aims to provide opportunity for expression to the voices, thoughts, aspirations and desires of these women and girls, usually left unheard.

"The girls who participate in the project receive instruction from the best directors and actors in Israel. In addition, they receive valuable enrichment classes," said project manager Hila Yeshayahu. "It is a combination of several skills learned in the theater world. It is meaningful for them, and brings them to discover themselves every time anew and thus deal with the difficult life experiences they go through."

As part of the project, the girls work together with the actress and director Ora Peretz on different and varied ways of self-expression. As part of their group work, guest speakers on various fields are introduced, such as electronic music and music production, knitting and creating diverse media, cooking, and more.

The girls receive guidance and instruction in creative writing from Nathan and Tom Schwartzberg, the theater's artistic directors.

The director of the theater, Mor Azulay explained, "The program combines a variety of ways of self-expression, sharing feelings and venting the experiences they are dealing with." According to her, the theater will continue to work with populations in need.
