The 600 employees of Bezeq International have achieved a new deal increasing their pay and working conditions. The agreement, signed late last month between Bezeq International CEO Ron Glav; Yaki Halutzi, chair of the Histadrut’s cellular and high tech workers’ union; and Bezeq International workers union chair Limor Liberman-Lavi, includes a 9% pay raise for employees. The agreement also provides retirement grants of 280% of the legally mandated severance pay (an average of approximately half a million shekels, or $138,000, per employee) as part of a voluntary retirement and efficiency arrangement.

Employees of the company, which provides IT and communication solutions for businesses, will benefit from significant salary increases, enhanced retirement mechanisms, and structured performance-based reward systems. The agreement also includes a gradual increase in the company’s participation in meal vouchers to 45 shekels (about $12) per day, expanded eligibility for bonuses, implementation of a performance-based reward mechanism, a commitment by the board of directors to maintain the company's independence and operations during the agreement’s term, and a conditional grant related to the transfer of shares within the Bezeq Group.

“During a complex and challenging period for the economy in general and Bezeq International in particular, we have managed to provide the company’s dedicated employees with certainty and stability for the coming years, along with a package of benefits and rights that will grow as the company’s profitability increases,” union chair Liberman-Lavi said. “Alongside these benefits, we ensured that retiring employees receive appropriate financial compensation to help them begin a new chapter in their lives with significant economic comfort.”

The agreement will remain in effect until the end of 2027 and, for the first time, will also apply to employees of Bezeq International’s subsidiaries, Cloudojo and BIyond. The agreement renews all benefits from previous agreements.

Yaki Halutzi, chair of the Histadrut’s cellular and high tech workers’ union, noted that Bezeq International has recently transitioned its business model. “Amid the significant transformation the company is undergoing, transitioning into a company providing integration, IT, and communication solutions for businesses, we have signed a new collective agreement for Bezeq International employees,” Halutzi said. “This agreement will provide rewards, certainty, and security for employees during this transitional period and allow the company and employees to focus on its business objectives. At our request, the board of directors has also provided the company with the stability and security it needs to operate during the agreement period.”

Liat Hinitz Avrahami, Bezeq International’s human resources director, said that the new agreement will provide long-term stability for employees. “The agreement highlights the company’s concern for safeguarding employees’ rights and well-being during this challenging period, while also maintaining organizational excellence and managerial flexibility—an essential trait in today’s dynamic market,” she said. “We see this agreement as an expression of the positive and fair labor relations within the company, reflected in our long-standing partnership with the workers representatives, based on open dialogue. We believe that this partnership, embodied in the agreement, will contribute to our continued success as a company.”
