
One worker was killed and 19 more were injured this past week at their workplaces, with three of them in serious conditions. Issa Muhammad Da’aif, was killed in Rishon LeZion, and another eight of the injured were hurt in falls from heights. Eleven of the injured were working in construction or home renovation.
Since the beginning of the year, 68 workers have been killed in workplace accidents, 35 of them in the construction sector.
Sunday
A 53-year-old worker was injured by a heavy object while working at a construction site and was taken to Rambam Hospital in moderate condition with injuries to his head and limbs.
A worker around 40 years old was electrocuted while working at a factory in Shoham. He was taken to Sheba Medical Center in Tel HaShomer in moderate condition with burns to the upper part of his body.
Monday
A 26-year-old worker fell from a height of about five meters while working at a construction site on David Marcus Street in Ramla. He was taken to Shamir–Assaf Harofeh Hospital in moderate condition with a back injury.
A 58-year-old worker fell from a height of about five meters into a pit while working at a construction site in the Musrara neighborhood of Jerusalem. After being rescued, he was taken to Shaare Zedek Hospital in moderate condition with injuries to his limbs.
A 67-year-old worker fell from a height while performing gardening work in Kfar Saba. He was taken to Meir Hospital with head and limb injuries.
A 24-year-old worker fell from a height of about seven meters while working at a construction site on Wingate Street in Herzliya. He was taken to Ichilov Hospital in moderate condition with head and limb injuries.
Tuesday
A 58-year-old worker fell from a height during renovation work in Umm al-Qutuf and was taken to Hillel Yaffe Hospital in serious but conscious condition, with multiple system injuries.
A 26-year-old worker was injured by an electric saw during gardening work on Dgania Street in Holon and was taken to Wolfson Hospital in moderate condition with limb injuries.
A 42-year-old worker was injured while repairing a crane at a construction site in Ra’anana. After complex rescue operations by firefighters, he was taken to Meir Hospital in moderate condition with a pelvic injury.
A 24-year-old worker was injured by a heavy object at a factory in Haifa. He was taken to Rambam Hospital in moderate condition with injuries to his abdomen and limbs.
Wednesday
Issa Muhammad Da’aif, 70, from Ar’ara, was killed after falling from a crane truck in Rishon LeZion while trimming trees on Haim Bar-Lev Street as a subcontracted municipal worker. He was taken to Wolfson Hospital in critical condition with multiple system injuries, but died from his wounds.
A 28-year-old worker was injured during renovation work at a home in Beit Yehoshua. He was taken to Laniado Hospital in moderate condition with an abdominal injury.
A 35-year-old migrant worker was injured while working at a construction site and was brought to a local clinic in Be’er Sheva. He was then taken to Soroka Hospital in moderate condition with injuries to his legs.
A 39-year-old worker was injured by a heavy object while working at a construction site on HaGdud HaIvri Street in Ra’anana. He was taken to Beilinson Hospital in serious condition with a head injury.
A worker, approximately 35 years old, was injured by a heavy object at a private business on Yehoshua Stampfer Street in Petah Tikva. He was taken to Beilinson Hospital in serious condition with multiple system injuries.
Thursday
A worker about 40 years old was trapped under a mound of dirt at a construction site in Ashkelon. He was taken to Barzilai Hospital in moderate condition with injuries to his limbs.
A worker about 50 years old suffered a head injury at a construction site in Beitar Illit. He was evacuated by the Red Crescent to a hospital in Bethlehem in moderate condition.
A 61-year-old worker fell from a ladder from a height of about six meters while working at a factory in Kafr Qassem. He was taken to Beilinson Hospital in moderate condition with injuries to his back and limbs.
A 45-year-old worker fell from a height of about four meters while working in a cowshed in Ein Ayala. He was taken to Rambam Hospital in moderate condition with a back injury.
Friday
A 38-year-old worker fell from a height of about three meters while working on agricultural land in the Emek Hefer Regional Council. He was taken to Laniado Hospital in moderate condition with a back injury.
