
Two teenage girls were seriously and moderately injured in a ramming attack last week at the Gush Etzion Junction in the Gush Etzion area. The attacker, Amjad al-Fattah, 30, from Hebron, was neutralized by a soldier from the Nachshon Battalion.
According to Magen David Adom (MDA), its paramedics and emergency medical technicians provided medical treatment at the scene and evacuated two casualties to Shaare Zedek Medical Center: a 17-year-old girl in serious condition with injuries to her limbs, and a 15-year-old girl in moderate condition with a facial injury. There was also a panicked victim at the scene.
According to the Israel Police, a report was received of a ramming attack at the Gush Etzion Junction. Numerous police forces from the West Bank District arrived at the scene. Medics from the Yehuda Arrow Unit provided initial medical treatment to the injured at the scene. Security forces secured the area and conducted searches to rule out the presence of additional suspects. In addition, all entrances to Bethlehem were blocked.
Yaron Rosenthal, head of the Gush Etzion Regional Council, said: “A serious attack took place here at the Gush Etzion Junction. A terrorist tried to ram a group of teenage boys and girls. We have several injured people. The attacker was quickly neutralized by IDF forces.”
