13 Workers Injured in Workplace Accidents Last Week, One Seriously

Eight of the workers were injured in falls from height | Since the beginning of the year, 50 workers have been killed in workplace accidents, including 30 in the construction industry.

Thirteen workers were injured in workplace accidents last week. Most sustained moderate injuries, but on Sunday, a worker was seriously injured when his hand was severed by a waste-recycling machine in Jerusalem.

Sunday

A 32-year-old worker fell from a ladder from a height of approximately four meters while working in Elad. He was evacuated in moderate condition to Sheba Medical Center at Tel Hashomer.

An 18-year-old worker inhaled a toxic substance while working at a restaurant in the Lev HaSharon Regional Council. He was evacuated in moderate condition to Meir Medical Center.

A 43-year-old worker was injured by a waste-recycling machine while working at a factory on Hayozma Street in Jerusalem. His hand was severed, and he was evacuated in serious condition to Hadassah Ein Kerem Hospital.

A worker around 50 years old fell from a height while working at a factory in Lod. He was evacuated in moderate condition, suffering head and chest injuries, to Sheba Medical Center at Tel Hashomer.

Tuesday

A worker around 27 years old fell from scaffolding from a height of approximately four meters while working at a construction site in Tekuma. He was evacuated in moderate condition, suffering bruises and injuries to his limbs, to Soroka Medical Center.

A worker around 30 years old fell from a height while working in a moshav in the Sdot Negev Regional Council. He was evacuated in moderate condition, suffering injuries to his limbs, to Soroka Medical Center.

Wednesday

A worker around 20 years old sustained cuts to his limbs from an electric circular saw while working at a factory in Har Tuv. His condition was described as mild.

A worker became trapped inside an asphalt-scrubbing machine near the Jatt Interchange. Firefighters worked to rescue him.

A worker around 25 years old sustained cuts to his limbs from a paper-cutting machine while working at a factory in Har Tuv. His condition was described as mild.

Thursday

A 70-year-old worker fell from a ladder while working at a construction site in the Brosh Industrial Zone. His condition was described as mild.

A 44-year-old worker fell from a height of approximately five meters while working at a construction site in Tayibe. He was evacuated in moderate condition, suffering head and limb injuries, to Meir Medical Center.

Friday

A worker around 40 years old fell from a height of approximately five meters on Emek Ayalon Street in Tel Aviv. He was evacuated in moderate condition, suffering multiple-system trauma, to Ichilov Hospital.

A 57-year-old worker fell from a ladder from a height of approximately two meters while working on Argaman Boulevard in Eilat. He was evacuated to Yoseftal Hospital with injuries to his legs.
